A publication accompanying Lena-Marie Emrich’s exhibition Mainly Fair Later, translating her exploration of uncertainty, science, and poetic form into a concise editorial object.

Mainly Fair Later is a publication created alongside the first institutional solo exhibition of Lena‑Marie Emrich at Kunstverein Göttingen. The exhibition brought together sculptures, graphic works, and a sound installation exploring meteorological phenomena, everyday objects, and the emotional and social meanings embedded in them. Emrich’s work combines scientific research with a poetic visual language, reflecting on uncertainty and the fragile nature of forecasts about the future.
The book extends these ideas into an editorial format, bringing together images of Emrich’s works with texts by Marlene A. Schenk and Tomke Braun. Developed from the initial concept through to the final design, the publication was conceived as a quiet and focused visual counterpart to the exhibition. The design emphasizes clarity and spatial rhythm, allowing the artworks and texts to unfold with the same sense of openness and reflection present in the exhibition itself.
Published by re:sonar Verlag, the book functions both as documentation and as an independent artistic object, capturing the dialogue between research, material experimentation, and speculative thinking that defines Emrich’s practice.
